Does Glowy+ work with brands that aren't in product databases?
Yes. The app doesn't look products up in a catalogue: it reads the ingredient list (INCI) straight from a photo of the label. That means it works the same for a local brand, a drugstore line, an import or something launched last week — as long as the ingredient list is legible in the photo.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Glowy+ has no sign-up, no login and no password. You open the app and start. Your scan history and routine are stored on the iPhone itself.
Where does the photo of my face go?
The photo is sent to Google's AI (Gemini) only at the moment of analysis, which is what produces your Skin Score. Glowy+ doesn't keep a copy on any server of ours, and your history stays on the device. The details are in the privacy policy.
Does Glowy+ replace a dermatologist?
No, and it doesn't try to. The app is cosmetic and educational: it helps you understand ingredients, build a routine and track progress. A changing mole, a suspicious spot, severe acne or anything that worries you is a dermatologist's job.
How is this different from other skin analysis apps?
Almost all of them stop at the face score: you scan, you get a number and a routine. Glowy+ uses that profile to answer the question that actually costs money — whether the product in your hand suits you. And because it reads the label instead of querying a catalogue, it works on products database scanners simply don't recognise.
